Hello everybody. I’m making this blog as a literal accompaniment to my online persona, the Free-ist. What… online persona? Well, it’s actually me but it’s not like I’m going around the streets introducing myself as the Freeist, you know? If you want to hear from me in video form, you can visit this link: http://bit.ly/12No4l . I admit, it’s crappy quality. Believe it or not, it’s my first video upload of any sort so I’m satisfied. I mostly did it for my own satisfaction to complete a youtube. Now I’ve made five or so (that you can check out on my channel, The Freeist) and I am getting better. I think it’s fair to say that the more recent the video, the higher the quality. For some reason, it was initially a challenge to look into the top border of my computer – I think I’m getting it down though.

TWITTER! That word was just floating around in the background of my life for the last couple of months. I know it’s been out for about two years now but for some reason I just heard about it only a few months ago. Even though I’m an internet marketer, I have to admit I am hesitant to join new social networking sites for fear of getting sucked in and wasting my time if they fizzle out (i.e. Friendster… we all remember that). But my sister showed me Twitter and I just immediately saw the power and had to join. Turns out that not only am I driving a crap load of free, fairly targeted traffic but I also really like it because I’m really into statistics.

I like Twitter mostly because it’s simple. It doesn’t take a long time to set up nor does it take a rocket scientist to build a following. I’ve built a pretty large following (5000 followers + 1000 updates) in only 5 weeks. I’ve seen people brag about 2000 in a month…ha! That’s not a good way to sell things. “We get mediocre results, want to find out how?” I’ll make a separate post on how to build your twitter account. I’m sure you await with baited breathe.

So you’re going to hear about freedom from me, all the time. I can even remember being a young enthusiast somewhere around the age of 9. Teachers would say, what’s the most important aspect of life for you? Obviously it’s a ridiculous thing to ask a kid but my answer was always freedom. I had a very cursory understanding of it of course, but I’ve come to understand how it is ingrained in my bones. Similarly, check my posting title. The feeling of being tied down in any way is what I flee from. I think I understand now that fleeing from anything is futile because what you resist, generally persists. So I’m currently “seeking” inner peace and whatnot…

In the meantime, let’s get the government the hell out of our lives! (And discuss other freedom related issues…)
